Blue Hills Drive Cul-de-Sacs Woodside Water Main

This project included several roadway and water system upgrades along Blue Hills Drive. We expanded the roadway by three feet and remade the road by pulverizing and compacting approximately 20,500 square yards of private asphalt roadway and providing a 2.5-inch asphalt overlay.  

The water system upgrades included construction of an approximately 2,500-foot long, eight-inch diameter water main. This involved horizontal directional drilling along 450 feet of the main; eight new gate valves; replacement of 16 existing main line water valves (4-inch, 6-inch,8-inch, and 10-inch); and replacement of 63 water service connections, with 109 water meters and setters. The work also included replacement of approximately 2,800 linear feet of two-inch diameter polyethylene water distribution piping and valving.
