This project installed a hardened roadway surface that eliminated silt-laden runoff and treated it for water qualify before releasing it to underlying soils.
Rognlin’s constructed the site improvements, including water quality features to manage runoff from the new roadway, reclaiming the existing surfacing materials, and stabilizing the signage. The project also included illumination at the intersection of Yearout Drive and North Wilson Avenue.
The existing gravel roadway was graded for paved approaches and large-vehicle turning movements at North Wilson Avenue. The existing roadway was regraded and re-sloped to provide a safe transition through the existing commercial zone. The resulting roadway was then reclaimed by milling it in-place, stabilizing it with Portland cement, and compacting to meet the desired grades.
