East County Transportation Co-Op

This new transportation facility serving Elma School District and other districts is a major upgrade from the old bus garage that had no permanent restrooms and antiquated equipment. Rognlin’s constructed the new facility, which includes a new 13,715 SF pre-engineered metal building structure featuring a 9,600 SF shop and storage area with three service bays that include different lifts and wash bays. The building also includes a 3,755 SF administrative area with a training room, staff break room, support offices, and restrooms. Rognlin’s also provided site clearing and created an asphalt paved vehicle and bus parking area with associated storm drainage systems.

The facility enables the district to support more than 1,300 student riders on 20 bus routes a day for Elma. The facility also houses busses for other co-op partner districts.
