New Municipal Building

Community Buildings

Cosmopolis is Grays Harbor’s oldest city. The City Hall building houses many community functions, including judicial operations and the police department, which had been operating out of a temporary trailer for many years before a new building was approved by voters in 2019. Delayed by the pandemic, construction of the 4,454 SF, single-story, wood frame addition was a welcome and long-anticipated addition to the Cosmopolis community. The new building makes it easier for residents to access municipal services and houses a courtroom, council chamber, and much needed new space for the police department.
